Saturday, March 27, 2010 Historical Arkansas day 2

We spent the night with Grandmother in El Dorado. Of course, we have to visit the Spudnut shop!

One of the buildings at Arkansas Post State Park.
Who knew there was a Halley Arkansas?!
Out in the middle of south east Arkansas off a county road that was not even on the map:
There was a small very old general store in Fountain Hill. Mrs. Margaret runs it. She is a retired high school science teacher. She gave us a tour of the oldest bank safe in Arkansas that she has in the middle of her store which used to be a bank.

Of course, the Nesbitt family has to find the odd off beat road side attractions!

The landing spot of the real, and original Arkansas Post, the first settlement in Arkansas.
