Bill and I were invited to join the Mueller's life group for lunch after church. We went to Mexico Chiquitos and had a wonderful time!

Another snow day!

On our second snow day, we enjoyed watching the birds in our back yard. Bill and Nathan went sledding again and had a great time!

Snow Day!

Today we woke up to a dusting of sleet. By 1:00 pm, we had a good layer of sleet, frozen rain and snow. Nathan and Dad went sledding on our street and at Forest Height Junior High School.
Nathan's off!
He's gliding down,

And he makes it! Yeah Nate!
I get a call from Evan. He wants money to buy a rope.
Why? I ask. To pull something.
What? I ask. A box spring.
Because? Conway doesn't have any hills.
I don't ask anything else. Some things a Mom just doesn't need to know!
I just tell him that I do not want to hear from the Conway Hospital!

Late yesterday, my sweet friend Anita brought me a lovely arrangement of flowers to enjoy while I recover. Thanks Anita!

Hospital and Sweet Friends!

The view from the hospital bed that I really, really wanted to stop looking at! Around 10:30 am, I got to finally leave!
My sweet friend Sara brought us dinner! A wonderful pork lion and roasted potatoes and it was great!

A day that started off rather rotten and ended well. Thanks Sara!Denise

Thursday afternoon started like any other afternoon. I picked up Nathan and we headed home.

After dropping him at the house, I ran an errand to buy a card and have my doctor listen to my heart. It had been acting up, fluttery all day long. The sent me to Baptist Hospital to the emergency room.
Here they rushed me in for an ECG and hooked me to a monitor from 5 to 10 pm. Wonderful view! At least Message in a Bottle was the movie I found.

The doctor decided I needed to stay overnight to monitor my heart beat so Bill had to bring me my dinner, my belongings and of course my pillow!Denise

It's bluegrass night at the Nesbitt house!

Bill's bluegrass band, the Josh Love Band, came to rehearse and record. Left to right- Josh, Banjo Bill, my Bill and Glenn. We have to be as quiet as can be while they record. Want to hear them? click on the link below!

Obituary for our Television

The TV that lived in the home of the Nesbitt family died today. It was a peaceful passing. No suffering was involved. Bill, the father, was changing to a different channel when the poor electronic device just gave up. Denise, the mother, believes it died of remote over usage between football games, Fox News and the Barrett Jackson classic car auction. The strain was just too much. It was a good TV and will be missed.
Rest in Peace TV, rest in peace.

Now, where does one bury a dead TV?

Sunday, Crosswalk, Haley's new dress, newcomers dinner

Bill got to perform as King Nebuchadnezzar for the Daniel skit. He was "forcing" his subjects to bow and worship the golden idol. If not, they were thrown into the fiery furnace!

Isn't he fun in his outfit? We made the crown special for the skit. It shimmered in the spot light.

King Neb with his guards and Shadrack, Meshack and Abedingo.

Haley bought this dress for her homecoming dance. Isn't she pretty? She will never make it in those shoes!

Blurry, yes, but this is the lovely dinner Sara made for the Newcomers dinner. Every month, I go to help her with the dinner. My ministry is one of mercy. Bless her heart! After cooking all of this, feeding 12 people, no one should have to clean up!

Haley and her yearly science fair project

Today was Lisa Academy's yearly science fair. Haley did her project on dog paw dominance. However, she changed her project since her original proposal and was placed in her original category, biochemistry. She did not want to be moved because many of her friends were in the same category and they were all in the room together! Teenage girls!

Look what I made!

Look what I finally finished! It took me 2 weeks. I have always wanted to learn to crochet and finally went to Yarn Mart and they taught me. The yarn is the United Kingdom. Made this for Evan.

Mom learns to play Bunco!

I was asked to be a sub at a monthly Central Arkansas Bunco Club. I didn't know anyone, knew nothing about the game, but had a blast! I think I have found my game!

Last minute, again....

Haley, my sweet darling daughter, waited until the last minute last night to do her science fair poster and waited until the last minute tonight to do an English project on Julius Caesar. Nathan is keeping a watchful eye on the dangerous weather while Strider is waiting out the storm inside. That is until he started chewing on the household items and out he went, regardless of the weather!

Evan got his car back!

After being without his car for almost a month, due to a very costly repair, he was thrilled to get behind the wheel once again. Now we have to come up with the money for his gasoline!

Look everyone! I have a lovely new template designed and installed by theposhbox.net. I gave her lots of trouble with my little tweakings, but Pam was wonderful! I searched and searched for just the right look, price and installation and she had all three. I highly recommend her! Thanks Pam!

Today, the schools were out. Before I left for work I caught Nathan trying to explain a Kingdom Hearts, 365 1/2 days game to his dad. What a great Dad! I thought it made for a wonderful picture!

Hey look what I bought on Ebay! A slightly used camera to keep with me to use for Project 365! I haven't had my own camera since 1980! It takes wonderful photos :o)
