Scary stuff! April 10, 2013

The weather service had been predicting storms for days.  Finally the perfect fronts collided over Clinton and moved northeast toward Mountain View where we have some friends.  One lost her reception but luckily  Ed Buckner of Channel kept updating the tornado and I kept sending the images to my friend who was hiding in her safe room!

We walked into church to clean and Bill saw how lovely the cross was with the sun shining down on it.  We were able to get our across the street neighbor Jake, and his new bride Ashley,  to let us have one of the benches he had made for their wedding.  Using it now as a bench to sit and pray or an altar to kneel and pray.  Photo by Nathan

A vet from Bauxite provides $10 immunizations once a year in a drive through set up.  Since Strider and Chauncey were both MONTHS late, we took advantage of the offer!  It was about an hour wait, but for $20 a dog, it was worth it!

I am so tired of baking every Saturday night to help raise money for the Youth Week of Hope mission trip.  This is the last day.  Yeah!

Jason Bowyer did a concert of his original songs.  It was a fun evening.  Haley loved taking pictures.  Our regret was Evan was in Thailand.  He would have enjoyed it!

Took Bill to Corky's today for his birthday dinner.  There was a large ceramic pig with lots of writing on it that we just had to add our own to it!

We went to El Dorado to visit and see Mary Rella who was in town for the weekend.  While driving down back streets, we suddenly came to a dead end street where suddenly there was a cattle farm!

We went to eat at Main Street Pizza where we decorated the peanuts.

July 4th, 2010 a busy day!

After church, we went to the Bowyers for lunch.  There was swimming, grilling and visit time with friends.  It was fun!

We then went to the Wennekers for a pot luck and crazy fireworks.  It was so wrong in so many ways!  The kids next door, the people across the street, the church at the corner.  It was wild!

After church on April the 14th, we went to try a new restaurant that we had heard about the day before on a radio program Arkansas Cooks.  The restaurant is named Local Lime.  It specializes in homemade salsa and very unusual tacos.  While we were there, Haley sat next to a glass window that separated the inside dining from the outside dining areas.   This little boy, named Evan, looked at Haley throughout the entire lunch time. Whenever she made eye contact with him, he would turn around, squeal, and slap the table.  It was hysterical!  When we finished, we just had to go and let Haley meet him!
